Sliquid

LOGO & PACKAGING REDESIGN

PERSONAL PROJECT

2020

Sliquid is a well-known natural intimate products brand. They make products like lubricants without harmful chemicals like parabens and glycerins. They are known for their natural and organic formulae.

I decided to rebrand their visual identity for fun. Their product is marketed toward young, ingredient-conscious females. I aimed to make their identity more modern, inconspicuous as a sexual product yet playful, and inclusive regardless of gender.

I attempted to modernize both the typeface and the image style. I tried to convey the organic nature of the brand with the leaf image in the letter ‘S’, and the rounded style alludes to both the consistency of the actual lubricant and the playfulness of sex. I also chose a brighter, more lively color and removed the ‘Venus’ sign because lubricants should not just be for cis-women and/or for use in heterosexual relationships. Inclusivity and modernization were key during this redesign.

For the ‘Organics’ range, I repurposed the liquid pool imagery in the packaging of the classic line to form a flower, to convey the idea of organic while keeping the visual language consistent.
